vICA Echo attended by SBCA Faculty and Staff

Every six years, the congregation – Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd hold the Congregational Chapter.  This year, 2021 we are set to have this sacred gathering on November in Angers, France.

Because of COVID 19, all the preparations were being done virtually,   which we see it as to our advance, because most of us (sisters and lay mission partners) are given the opportunity to join the various activities using the internet, via zoom.

The Philippines – Japan Province joined the Asia Pacific Regional Assembly in August 2020 which was followed by the Virtual Intercontinental Assembly last October of the same year.  To continue pave the way to the chapter on November, the invitation for participation is to involve as many mission partners as possible.  So, SBCA grabbed the opportunity to deepen the understanding about the Good Shepherd Congregation, and thus joined the ECHO of the VIRTUAL INTERCONTINENTAL ASSEMBLY on February 25.  They were divided into four groups and using the online platform joined the other two Bridget Schools for the said activity.  This will help everyone to get involve fully in the phase 2 of the preparations for the chapter with the theme:  DRAWN BY LOVE PASSIONATE FOR JUSTICE: INTO THE DEEP.

Bridget Schools – SBC Batangas founded in 1913; SBS Buhi founded in 1963 (turned over to the Archdiocese of Caceres in 2018), Naga City; SBSQC founded in 1971 and SBCA founded in 2006 comprise the Education Ministry of the Religious of the Good Shepherd in the Philippines – Japan Province.  This province belongs to the one of the regions of the Congregation, the Asia Pacific Region.
